The accessibility and disability 2 committee is making a bill that is aiming to make an IEP, more accessible to kids with disabilities in school. Basically, making IEP’s more accessible for kids with disabilities will provide kids with disabilities with specialized instructions and services, so that their teachers are able to adapt what they teach, or, how they teach to meet students’ needs.

The problem with this is that there is currently push back from schools when parents try to get their kids IEP due to the fact that it is very expensive. Many people don’t see this as a problem but we have to understand that every kid with a disability is different in their own way, so that’s why more people should care and approve this bill. How would you feel if you had a child with disabilities and you couldn’t provide your child with their modified needs?
